Mark Blanchard and Mark Wells have joined forces with local formwork contractor Paines Ltd, led by Richard Paine, and set up Southern Concrete Ltd. Meeting an increased demand to supply, place and finish concrete to external yards and warehouse floor slabs, Southern Concrete will utilise the expertise of both Blanchard Wells and Paines and lead the way within the region for concrete placing and concrete frames. Our Commercial Team, led by Graham Clarke, has successfully negotiated the contract for Phase II of Antelope Park, valued at £1.9m, after delivering Phase I on time and within budget.

The Pines, Winchester Road, Bishops Waltham – Project comprising of 11 new houses valued £307k.
New Road, Swanmore, Hants – Project comprising of flats, houses and a small office block. Project Value £220k.
Quadric Ltd:
Dormy House, Ridgemount Road, Sunningdale, Berkshire - Residential Care Home, project value of £274k.
Dean and Dyball's regional office in Maidstone has awarded Blanchard Wells a £440,000 groundworks contract for Phase I of the redevelopment of St George's Retirement Village at Ditchling Common, Nr. Burgess Hill, West Sussex. Works are due to start onsite Monday 1st October 2007.
New client, Tinos Homes, has awarded two contracts to Blanchard Wells; 11 houses at Chalvington Crescent, Chandlers Ford and 5 houses at New Haw, Nr Addlestone.
Blanchard Wells has invested in excess of £350,000 in new plant, machinery and vehicles. The Company has purchased a total of seven new machines in the first six months of 2007.
A groundworks package valued in excess of £500,000 has been awarded to Blanchard Wells by HBG Construction. The contract includes reinforced groundbeams, drainage and externals to the new Kings Copse Juniors School at Hedge End, Southampton. All works will be completed under a partnering agreement between HBG and Hampshire County Council.
Newly appointed Foremen and Managers attended a breakfast reception at The Red Lion Hotel, Fareham, Hampshire, in June. Managing Director Mark Wells outlined Blanchard Wells’ proposed expansion plans and vision for the future.
Chris Nichols has joined the Blanchard Wells team as a Contracts Manager. Mark Wells, Blanchard Wells’ Managing Director, said: “Chris is extremely experienced in this role and we are sure he will fit in well representing the company on site and working closely with all of our Site Managers and Foremen.”
A Blanchard Wells Hitachi ZX210 excavator was used to build the track for the Maxxis British Motocross Grand Prix at Langrish, near Petersfield. The Grand Prix featured some of the world’s top riders. Mark Blanchard and his team were on hand to maintain the track throughout the weekend.
Blanchard Wells has extended its main sponsorship of the phenomenally successful Eastleigh Rangers Football Team.
Since its launch in 2003, the team has achieved promotion every year and is now at U16 level.
