Racing for a good cause – Treloars!

Treloars TrustWe have booked a team endurance go kart event on 30th July 2010 at the 900m outdoor circuit at Thruxton for the inaugural Blanchard Wells/Southern Concrete Charity Go Kart Trophy.

We are proud to confirm that all funds raised will be donated to our chosen charity, the Treloars Trust which runs a school and college near Alton providing education, care and support to young people with physical disabilities.  Please take time to look at their website: www.treloar.org.uk.

In return for a donation to the Treloars charity, teams of 4 will enter the event which will comprise a two hour endurance race with three compulsory pit stops – the team completing the most laps wins, simple as that.  We will also run a system of fines to increase the kitty and  make it a fun event – slowest lap, black flags, most damaged kart etc etc.  Invites will be sent out late May but anyone reading this and interested can contact mikecrook@southern-concrete.co.uk.

Southern Concrete is three weeks into an eight week programme for the construction of a skewed road bridge over the Brighton to Eastbourne railway line for B & M McHugh. A rapid commencement was required by our client and the works started three weeks after we received the initial enquiry. A close working relationship with the McHughs team has reduced the amount of works needing to be completed on a night-time possessions, reducing cost and programme.
